About this Bike:
 
C T Wallis 'Hetchins' Curly Stays Classic 57cm Bicycle Ornate Lugs Reynolds 631
 
Not a Hetchins but an early CT Wallis  of Hessle England, featuring Curly Stays and ornate lugs in the style of the Hetchins Bicycle.
Made in the early 1980s. I believe this to have been made to the specifics of a local rider . 
Those that know of C T Willis will be aware that he was renowned for building high quality audax frames , some of which were built with curly style stays and Bates style diadrant forks .
Features a W on the head tube -  representing the brand of C T Wallis. 
I understand the Hetchins decals to have been added later. Wallis decals are availbe to purchase , should you wish.
 
Though this is not a Hetchins, it is a good example of an accomplished craftsman showing his skills in his early years and of course demonstrating some of the skills he would become known for  having developed his craft in the years that followed.

A note about our used Items. All Items are genuine vintage and whilst in full working order, may also so show signs of age or own some distinguishing marks. As well as these signs of character  there may also be some signs of rust (faint and few) and some signs of mottling on the chrome. Where possible we have tried to show these on photographs. These small imperfections are commensurate with what is expected of a bike of this age.
